It may come as absolutely no surprise that oil and gas companies are rated as the least popular types of companies. They are joined by the lack of positive attitude towards the federal government, banking and real estate.

This information has been assessed by Gallup, who has accomplished surveys each year. The interesting collection of data shows a comparison of attitude change in both the plus and minus factors as well as the altered attitude in the rankings of a variety of industries.

Given the many environmental and financial problems that have plagued the oil and gas industries in the last number of years, they seem to have quite a challenge to change the American public’s attitudes. I guess they will have to increase the marketing and advertising budgets and we will have to look forward to more commercials touting how great the gas and oil industries are, for making our lives so wonderful.
