In a generous move, pakistan village ecofriendly homes will be given to the poorest households in the village of Haji Jaffar Jamari. These homes are ecofriendly buildings built with green building material. The program is called the People's Housing Program, and is nicknamed the Benazir Model in honor of Benazir Bhutto, who is the late Prime Minister. The pakistan village ecofriendly homes are energy efficient, and are designed to be disaster proof and very affordable and low cost. The program is jointly sponsored by the United Nations Development Program and the provincial government. The homes are built to be resistant to earthquakes, and are based on state of the art technology. They are designed to be very energy efficient and conservative. Many of the villagers who will receive these new homes will finally be able to stop watching their home fall to pieces in a rain storm or other bad weather, or have to rebuild it regularly.
Pakistan vilage ecofriendly homes are built in a cluster. Each of these groups includes five units. Every unit will consist of two bedrooms, a bathroom and toilet, a kitchen, a veranda, and even a kitchen garden. These ecofriendly buildings use green building material that minimizes wood, bricks, and concrete. Each home has a water tank that stores water for the owners. These pakistani village ecofriendly homes are not the only ones planned either. This program will be used in other villages and areas as well, and a total of five hundred of these homes in all will be built here, in a number of different villages in the poorest areas of the country.
