Leave it to Cambridge University to focus and produce a sustainable hydrogen alternative. Their answer in this dilemma was to substitute a cobalt catalyst as a replacement for the more expensive source use of platinum. The results have led to the production of what is known as the first ‘green’ solution in the production of sustainable hydrogen.
